Katherine LaTourrette

Katherine is an EAGALA-Certified Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee and Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee currently pursuing her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles. 

She holds a Ph.D. in English from Harvard University, where her academic work explored narrative, trauma, and identity formation, topics which inform her clinical work today. Whether you are navigating a relationship transition, struggling with self-esteem, reconsidering the direction of your life, or simply sensing that something needs to change, equine-assisted psychotherapy can offer a meaningful shift.

Susan Clayton MA, LMFT, LPCC

Susan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and the Clinical Supervisor for Palos Verdes Equine Wellness. Susan began facilitating equine therapy sessions in 2012 after having experienced the power of this work herself. She has worked with individuals, families, and groups and has co-facilitated corporate team building workshops. 

In private practice, Susan specializes in trauma healing using EMDR and Somatic work. She incorporates all of these modalities in her work with the herd. Susan has been around horses most of her life and loves the equine therapy work for its relationship with the horses, honoring them as the therapist in sessions. The power of this partnership is truly special.
